That being said, I'm still not sure what to say. At this point I'm still just trying to learn as much as I can, and develop my skills. I've only been drawing for about three and a half years, so came into this late in life. Perhaps my statement could be: I am a novice artist, starting to draw in the summer of 2021. I'm colorblind, so attracted to graphite and charcoal. I'm currently focused on developing my technical skills, and love portraiture. I was an avid photographer, before my incarceration, so striving for photorealism has been a logical goal for me. Looking forward, I want to move into story telling with my drawings, and doing portraits for people, as opposed to celebrities.
