Bio

The artist aspires to live everyday in a happy and productive manner, while envisioning a life of freedom outside the prison cell. He is driven by his desire to be a catalyst for change, and make something more of his life, even while in custody. He gets his inspiration from the beaches and waters in (and around) the mouth of the Brazos River. He spent the best years of his life swimming and fishing these muddy brown coastal waters, and is never more at home than on the south Texas coastline, knee deep in the water. His love for sea life has evolved to include octopuses, seahorses, sharks, shrimp, hermit crabs, and all manner of different sea creatures. Crashing waves and beautiful sunsets intrigue him endlessly as he reminisces on days gone by, and ponders what the future may hold. In his ever widening search for inspiration the artist has grown fond of lighthouses, anchors, and other nautical subject matter such as shrimp boats, which was one of the artists first commissioned pieces. Throughout his journey, painting and meditating on these inspirational sea and landscapes has become therapy for the artist. He is humbled every single time one of his pieces brings joy to a person's life. He is currently working on a manuscript called "Prison Has The Most Beautiful Sunsets" which details how art changed his life and can change yours. °Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life® Pablo Picasso
